Tommy Watson - Don’t shoot the messenger!!!!!

You questioned his ability. I’ve watched him for two years and he is an outstanding talent . Like all young lads they will have good and bad games and the fact he’s been out for months with a serious injury will mean it will take a while for him to get back up to speed . The manager clearly feels he is still engaged with the club .
I've always felt what players do at development level is a world away from the real thing.

There's been a lot of names over the years were gonna do this and that, and never mounted to much.

Spurs reportedly asking £15m for Solomon off Leeds..So thats the Watson money plus £3m . I'd do that deal and it shows whats available for the money if we want to spend it straight away .
If we can do similar realistic value deals for Jobe/Neal and plough it back in theres no reason why we cant easy be top two next year.
We’ll play the long game, and even at the end we may still lose.

Be dissapointing see a young HG player leaving first chance they get. Maybe this is just how it is in Football these days i.e. young players breaking into their favourite team and not representing them for a decade

I agree, so thats why I said I don't blame the lad if he wants to go. We are a selling club and can't or won't keep our young talent here long term..
Yes but there’s a difference between the club ‘wanting’ to sell or not. The club don’t want to sell, but understand if we get their asking price they will.

Part of us signing talented youngsters and keeping our own on longer contracts is us telling them we won’t stand on their way if a better opportunity comes up.

So 2 half games off the back of a 2/3 month injury lay off have changed your mind and he’s now not a really good prospect. Our fan base is mental at times
He obviously doesn't want to be here. Let him go if he wants. Did you take notice of what happened in the January window? Love a "So" response.

How does he obviously not want to be here? I agree if he wants to go then let him go, as long as we get the fee we want. In the meantime he is contracted to us so use him as he is our player and has not been a nob about any of this ( not publicly anyway)
