Tommy Watson - Don’t shoot the messenger!!!!!

He's got a lot to learn, and nowhere near good enough to be starting games over Mundle.

The summer is going to see bigger changes than this lad moving on. Brighton is a good step up for him, but I doubt he'll get a lot of game time there, he may even get loaned out. A good fee and a sell on clause for us to reinvest wouldn't be the end of the world if the lad wants to go.
Like trapping a ball?

I'll be honest if he was my lad, and an opportunity to go to Brighton was on the table, I'd be advising him to take it. Financially it's a great start in life for him, Brighton have a good reputation for nurturing talent and it's also getting him out the NE bubble to go and learn to grow up, meet new people, strike out on his own. Plus he's not exactly guaranteed game time here with Mundle in front of him.
The fact that Brighton actually want him and their record with players then it's an absolute no brainer, and that's before you get to the massive wage increase and the area he'll live in.

Absolutely thick as fuck . You’re typical of a modern day football fan whose attention span lasts about ten seconds .
I don’t think so. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence can see he wants away. Not you. Been watching football for many years Mr Watson.

And just trying to shoot, even when there's not even a shot on. Seems a bit ball greedy in areas where there's better options to pass.

Like I've said, he's a good prospect and looks to have ability, but he's not as ready as some on here would have you believe. Brighton is a good move though, and would suit both parties, if he wants to go.

You questioned his ability. I’ve watched him for two years and he is an outstanding talent . Like all young lads they will have good and bad games and the fact he’s been out for months with a serious injury will mean it will take a while for him to get back up to speed . The manager clearly feels he is still engaged with the club .

I am questioning his attitude.

If that’s true then he should be stuck in the reserves and outcast

Why start him when he literally doesn’t wanna be here

Starting him the other day (when he was lifting by the way) is trying to convince him to stay and sign a new deal. Another potential example of the head coach being advised by others on team selection

I’ll accept that but you said this .

“Thought he was a really good prospect. The last 2 games have changed my mind. Shame”
Yes his attitude not his ability. That's what is frustrating. I know he is a good prospect but his lack of effort was quite alarming. He got taken off after an hour or so.
