It’s well known we don’t pay big wages. Our wage bill is or was one of the lowest in the league isn’t it?

Makes me wonder with players like Cannon though after being at Everton, playing for Preston and costing 7m or so he'll have had the move and got decent wages at Leicester and then likely a promotion increase. That may well put him out of our wage range, certainly won't be cheap.

Maybe the club are banking on the lad wanting to play though.

We’ve just received a load of cash though and still presumably have some left over from last year’s Stewart and Lihadji sales given we haven’t spent much.

I don’t think £5m will touch the sides and it appears good value.
 
I’ll be surprised if this comes off, Shirley we won’t be paying what he wants wages wise.
I hope we are not gonna be told we tried and couldn’t get it over the line ( again)

Agree, just don't for a second think our lot have gone 'haway then yous can have £5m' off the bat. This will have been a long and boring game of chicken over the summer, doubtless.
