Yet some still can't see it. We are a f***ing shambles at boardroom level.

We have been since around the time Ellis took sole charge, certainly since Bruce began dismantling the side containing Gyan, Bent and a few other important players. Plenty can see it mate. I guess a lot of people just don't feel comfortable knocking the club week after week, year on year, which is what it would amount to.

No, I think he is probably as frustrated as us by our lack of success, and I think we have been very lucky to have him.

He has taken good care of the club imo, safe pair of hands.

The layers below him are the probelm.
Who employs the layers below him though? The man at the top is always the one who is ultimately accountable.
From a monetary point of view I have no issue with him as I think he's backed us more than adequately mind.

Yet the Mags have no such reservations ........ which is better, to protest or not, neither have much effect do they?

Sometimes we look like complete asses as a football club. The administration is appalling. We obviously signed him on a 1 year deal without an option to return and our name will be mud
What do you mean.....................................................sometimes?

True, it depends on how much time he dedicates to managing this part of his business, very little I would have thought.

He pays others to do so, and between them they are coming up short (no pun intended).

He will imo delegate a lot of this to his American mate, who avoids the spotlight.

As a younger man I used to believe we'd be better served raising our expectations to Mag levels, placing more pressure on the board. These days I'm not so sure. Would anyone pay heed to anything we say or do?

However much he dedicates or doesn't dedicate again reflects on him as the man at the top though. His DOF decisions were both utter disasters to which we are struggling to recover from.
I do think the appointment of big Sam is an inspired one which will ultimately stabilise us even if it means going down this season.

Of course it reflects on him, im not here to beat the drum for him, we have been f***ing shite! But I think he spends less time worrying about us than most of us here do, what he does do is keeps investing.

American mate?

I thought one of his trusted team from the states was heavily involved in the club? Not on the SAFC board, but one of the holding company guys, could be wrong.

Been a total disappointment hasnt he. First couple of games looked liked a good signing then went downhill faster than US !

He's looked massively out of place the last few games, anonymous isnt the word. I watched him in particular V Swansea and he just jogged( not RAN) aimlesslyaround the middle of the park, not closing down, or dashing into good positions or nowt. Looked very poor.Should never had started.

Due to the money coming from the TV deals now, they don't have to. It's got the mags nowhere with Ashley.

Whoever he is,he needs binning! His track record isn't good so far. Short needs to get some better people around him...and quick.

There is certainly an American lad who is at the club in a senior position who should be nowhere near that position at most he should be making the f***ing tea. I was wondering if we are thinking of the same person and I suspect we probably are.

Cronyism is well in play at Sunderland.
