Today is the day

The club has hardly any infastructure Mary lad. There's other areas just as important as the first team that need a makeover. Infact I would say putting the right people in place ti get you value is far more pressing.

Shoite.....focus on the team, rest will follow

If the club goes for anyone with no decent championship experience meaning top end then it says everything about how small time these lot in charge really are....

I'm going with...

Michael Dell has sold Dell to focus his wealth entirely on SAFC, as a silent investor, leaving Donald in charge. Immediately ploughing £15 Billion into the club as official back of shorts sponsor.

He wanted Ross gone so he could bring in Rafa (just for a laugh) as Director of Football with SKP as first team coach.

He has already financed a new first team who will arrived in January, including but not limited to Donnarumma, Kimmich, Varane, Arthur, M'Bappe, and an escape opportunity for Pogba.

Haway the takeover. I need to spend more time doing work at work instead of keep checking the news on here
You would be doing the same thing except instead of looking for news of the takeover , you’d be looking at news of which top player we were being linked with.

People must have mundane lives and jobs when you read some of the comments on here...seems like there will be quite a queue on monkwearmouth bridge if this takeover fails....well must go now as it’s 25 degrees here in Tenerife...lol

Exactly- and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the update we do get either today or at some point over the weekend, is that nothing has been decided either way and that both parties are still in discussions over future investment.

As Lord Alfred points out even if the takeover / investment goes through there’s no firm guarantees that we’ll suddenly start throwing money about.

Ross said that he’d had conversations with the new prospective owners and they had assured him there would be a sensible approach to sustainable growth in the club for the long term.

As Donald himself mentioned we shouldn’t need investment to get out of League 1 which is why the choice of manager is the most important decision right now.
a sensible view of proceedings.....You dont need to chuck money about as long as you have a plan for a steady growth. The manager, I'd go for Strendel, is the most important aspect at this moment.

something is happening today, I don't know what it is, whether it is takeover related or a new manager, but we should get some news this afternoon.

Like who?

Anyone already in a job isn’t going to want to drop down a division, and I can’t think of anyone other than Pulis (urgh), Karanka (look at how well Forest are doing without him) or Hughton (turned down WBA in the summer I believe so won’t come to us) that is out of a job.

There was some meeting of local business people at the AOL last night. Methven was there and told one of the people present (who is a friend of a member here) takeover is still on.

Still on could mean 5% chance of happening.

Whey some of these names getting bandied about like Ainsworth..strendel are just not gonna cut it imo and ya back to needing another manager again...as if we haven't been through enough in the last 5 years
