To everyone on here saying the Club Owner has no ambition

Why do they think Mowbray was sacked?

Have a think before you start with all of your comments man.

He was sacked because we will get someone who can do better.

Sacked isnt the right phrase, his contract was paid up and he left
Its a discussion forum so people right to discuss what they want. We've yet to see ambition, next appointment and January will reveal much of club ambitions for this season.

The majority of posters wish nothing but the best for the bloke, they can appreciate the work he put in and the exciting football we witnessed for the majority of the time he was at the club, there will be some like yourself who were never happy with him as the manager, well you've got your wish, but as they say be careful what you wish for. Sacked by the way is exactly what has happened to him.
Scouts who identified our summer signings will just plod on I suppose without really taking any blame for their part. Some young players are ready for this level as we saw last season and some are not as we are seeing now

Totally agree mate, good to see you back , hope you are keeping well 👍

I have the ambition to win tomorrow night's Euromillions lottery. But I'm not prepared to spend millions to achieve my ambition.

There’s probably a shortlist of five. Of which you’d imagine three will be binned for asking where the Ross Stewart money is.

So there’s two.

Then it’s a straight shoot out to see which of those two wants paid the least.

He was sacked because on Saturday he came dangerously close to saying in public what many of us can already see.

That under this “model”, the “head coach” doesn’t only get ignored on transfers and squad building, but also doesn’t have free rein to pick the players he wants to pick.

It’s no coincidence that within 48 hours of alluding to that, he’s gone.

Exactly, which makes it very clear the ‘head coach’ will be a yes man

The wording would have been 'worked out' by both parties?

I recon it more by 'mutual agreement' but after Mowbray said he will never resign (give in) the Club said how about we we sack you and you will get this amount £ ?

I think Mowbrays general age and to some part his small health issues played a part. He won't manage again. Enough £ paid out to happily retire?

...criticise the model or the hierachy in any way and they are gone..

He was sacked. And he was probably sacked because he pointed the untried kids we've signed aren't ready. And also suggested, as has been pointed out on this thread, that he doesn't have full control of team selection.

As for the ambition of the owner I see he again made another reference about getting the club into a position of him not needing to put money into the running of the club. That's not what I call ambition, personally.

Ambition =

"Mediocrity is a choice. I hope you choose to say NO to it.
If you settle for mediocrity, you'll ultimately become mediocre. It doesn't cost more to strive for excellence, but if you settle for mediocrity, it'll cost you dearly"
