Tbf he’d have a much better chance of winning football matches if he had an actual defence minded CM and a striker or two, which he has stated he needs for 2 transfer windows without getting them. You would think it's sad if he got sacked because he's losing football matches? Weird.
We are one of the biggest clubs in the world and we're a club to develop young players and sell them?!
I was going to suggest stained with another bodily fluid, mate.Tear stained I reckon
Yes that’s a fundamental part of the clubs plan. We could keep our best players if we got promoted. If we had signed four players who would walk into our team right now and play most games CH, DCM, CF and Amad back on loan (prior to his injury) retain our best players I honestly think we would finish in the top two.
@Steve F you've cocked the quote up. We didn't miss an experienced midfielder in the games last season. The manager decided to play 1 centre midfielder at home to Cardiff and against Stoke.
We lost both and got mauled 5 by Stoke because of his midfield choices. This idea that he's blameless for everything is absurd.
The squad has some deficiencies like every squad in the league.
If Mowbray does poorly then he will be sacked and rightly so.
No I agree. He will do alright this season, partly because we have a very decent squad.Depends on your definition of poorly.
Since we want not just Mowbray but future managers to give youth a chance and progress our players I think we shouldn't sack Mowbray unless the season is bordering on disastrous (relegation kind of season)
If he's not successful then his contract ends at the end of the season and we can reconsider then.
I haven’t said Mowbray is blameless, how many times has he said we need some experience in midfield.

Here’s misery Steve![]()
Tony Mowbray admits he must accept Sunderland's new model for players
Tony Mowbray says he must accept that Sunderland's ownership prefer to buy players for the future rather than now.www.dailymail.co.uk
So when someone raises a previous talking point of how serious are we in wanting to bring players to the club of the calibre in this transfer window to meet KS target of finishing in the top two this season, should maybe read TM quote from the above article.
Sign young players, develop them, improve the squad, sell them for significant profit, if a buying club meets our valuation, a plan which carries a huge amount of business sense. However for those of us me included with aspirations of promotion this season and a top two finish, I think this strategy makes it highly unlikely, given the strength of the Championship this season.
Let’s hope the Board don’t lose patience with the Coach, he is working with the plan and our supporters don’t turn on him if we aren’t in the top six by October….. sadly wishful thinking, just a bit!!
Prediction, we will sign the lad from the Ukraine, I mentioned weeks ago we had serious interest in the Chilean lad, now looks like he is being touted round for the highest bidder, the sale of Lihadji today may help![]()
Around 7th-9th I think. If we had an experienced midfield player who we should have been signed in January our defensive record would have been a lot better, particularly at home.
Where do you think we will finish?
what is that actual stable midfield he should be picking ? as currently think we are weak in midfield and need an experienced player there. He did exactly the same after the Luton game when he brought up his future.
Clearly a very decent bloke and done a good job here but I'm sick of his mouth running too much in interviews.
He needs to concentrate on trying to stop his team conceding goals and pick an actual stable midfield.

Last season he picked Dan Neil by himself at times woth about 5 ahead of him, stupidity.what is that actual stable midfield he should be picking ? as currently think we are weak in midfield and need an experienced player there.
Well he has my vote.Agree, but Mowbray is quoted, which in this instance you would believe to be accurate.
Didn’t realise you spoke for everyone, or do you just think you do
Biggest clubs in the world? Wtf?We are one of the biggest clubs in the world and we're a club to develop young players and sell them?!

I don’t agree with that.To be honest nee fekker on her could give a crap about anybodies opinion unless of course it agrees with theirs!
