Titus Bramble may be forced to go under the knife, safc.com can confirm.

The defender has picked up a knee problem which may require surgery. Further investigations are continuing.

Bramble has been replaced in the starting line-up by Anton Ferdinand ahead of tonight's game against Everton.

Manager Steve Bruce also had news regarding Asamoah Gyan, confirming: "Asamoah picked up a thigh injury playing for Ghana.

"Titus has nicked the meniscus in his knee and may need an operation."

Bad craic that like, by far our best defender this season.

fuck sake, finally have a decent run of matches and they start dropping like flies, who will go next? This is when it all started to go tits up last season as well.

A real shame.Longhorn right again then

due to injuries anarl. i think we'd cope better if it happened again though and people got ott about that run, it wasnt a run of defeats. not too bad considering the injuries

Except it hasn't gone tits up just yet. Be calm.

ooooooo nasty. As someone who just had meniscus repair surgery 4 weeks ago, i can confirm that it's a right shitter. 3-4 months absolute minimum. Unless they just cut the piece off..............

I'd sue your surgeon. I had a torn cartilage repaired 5 weeks ago and I was back running 3 weeks later. I'm a 47 year old knacker.

Out for @ 4 weeks I reckon.

I know it hasnt, but be just our luck like.

not this time. we might lose tonight but i think weve looked alot better this season, some topper results. i think we could have a very good season

Depends on whether you repair, or whether you remove. Removal and you're back in just over a month. Repair it, and it takes 3-8 months.

I've got the best sports surgeon in the whole of switzerland (i dont pay).

Our inujry rash always hits this time of year.:-(

Hurry up and finish that training barn!

Biggest shock of the season this, never thought I'd hear so many people backing Titus, shows how huge his performances have been this season. Shame for the lad as him and Turner have been very solid at the back.
