Tiote- making a little bit of a meal of it!

James Lawton, Independent 6/03/2012:

There is no doubt that referee Mike Dean made the right decision when he showed the red card to Sunderland's key player Stéphane Sessègnon at a pivotal point in that riveting North-east derby.

We can also be equally certain that a majority of Cheick Tioté's workmates would have reacted in pretty much the same way when the frustrated Sessègnon's elbow landed on his chest. If you didn't see it, Tioté lingered on his feet for a second or two, then went down as though hit by an Exocet missile. It was all pretty much par for the course, just like the simulation of waving cards, clutching at set pieces, routine diving and all of those other professional niceties. However, in the worst of these cases familiarity tends to breed something more than contempt. Indeed, quite often it makes the flesh crawl.

Elbow

Bit of pot and kettle going on considering Larssons antics this season. Have you all forgotten his blatant handball on the line at the SOL? He looked like he was begging for his life to the referee that day rather than just pleading his inocence. And who can forget the dive against Wolves? Almighty God was so annoyed with him he exacted his revenge within 30 seconds.

Aye because it wasn't on the line you thick fucker

back of the net ;)

A) There's nothing wrong with pleading, is there? Is that cheating?
B) The Laarson dive has been brought up about 15 times on here, initially by a Sunderland fan (me) in fact, we've all said it was embarassing and that it was the wrong thing to do

You still won't acknowledge that Tiote didn't do the wrong thing though. Despite the fact that literally anyone else who saw the match has said that it was. You just look like a dick now to be honest.

Larsons hand ball on the line was preceded by ameobi handling from the corner moments earlier - ref should have stopped play then

I hate it when our players do it.

When Larsson dived to win that penalty against Wolves I didn't want him to miss it, I'd be lying if I said I did, but when he did miss it I said "Fair enough."

I don't like seeing our players cheating and will never condone it.

This. It doesn't matter who does it. It wrecks the game.

Nice one, you've made it to the FA Cup 1/4 final, that's an achievement now is it? Small club mentality.

How about, you've got a good chance of getting knocked out, you've got a good chance of finishing in the bottom half of the league and we'll be back in Europe again.

Which is also what you crave. Your dying to play in Europe, we've done it, the Smoggies have even done it (quite well too), yet despite thinking your the top team in the North East, your nowhere near close to doing it.

Just saying.

How sad you are!! ....to be on an SAFC board - making pathetic comments - oooh dear small-time delude Mag mentality - go back to the TOON board - where i'm told they write with crayons on their board

Aye, telling the ref and linesman that it hit his head, when it was nowhere near.

Sessegnon was getting a red anyway for raising his arm right in front of the ref, regardless of what Tiote may or may not have done afterwards.

The ref even looks at him (Sessegnon), and shrugs his shoudlers as if to say "what do you expect you idiot, you just did that, and I'm stood right here!"
