Tin hat on ……

I'd take the captaincy off O'Nien. He's too emotional/sensitive for the role. He may be the best trainer but you need other abilities to be captain material.

I'd probably go with Ballard
All you need is the ability to say 'heads' or 'tails'. You don't need to wear an armband to be a leader.

But whoever the new bloke coming in is I hope he has the bollox to drop Onien at centre half and play Seelt or Triantis.

Just sayin 🤷🏻‍♂️
Any new manager worth his salt will want to watch the squad at his disposal in training. LON is widely regarded as a voice of the club and one of the best (if not the best) trainers, something that may impress a new regime. I haven't seen enough of Seelt or Triantis to determine (imho) that either of them will be better in central defence than O'Nien. Ballard has impressed but even he has made a few mistakes this season. It's trendy to pick on Luke just now.

I'm not sure if he's too emotional or too sensitive, but as he's a very popular & very likeable lad, I always thought the role of club captain, was tailor made for 09, where he'd be very well suited to running the many off field activities, associated with the club.

There was a lad on twitter who reckons there's a local tabby cat on the shortlist. What if our new manager is a feline?
