Time for Brobbey to start against Chelsea?

Did I read or hear Nick Barnes saying that Brobbey has had a minor knee issue since he arrived, or have I dreamt that?

No. But I'd be tempted to start Geertruida in midfield. He seems to have that counter-attacking gene, exactly what we were missing.

Wilson will start and righly so. He keeps defenders occupied with his runs and has shown he can finish at this level.

We need to get the set right from the start. We didn't v UTD. and said the price. Regi will do this and give the lads a chance. Forest were 0 0 at half time yesterday and missed good chances.

I know it's early days but I've not seen everything to suggest he should be ahead of Isidor or Mayenda...

If you want to play counter attacking football, you need players who can get up the pitch quickly.

Brobbey wouldn’t have scored Wilson’s disallowed goal as he doesn’t have the pace.

Whilst that may true, I don't think we've seen enough of him to make an assessment.

Isidor has the shirt and rightly so. It’s who comes on when he goes off. For me it should be Brobbery as I don’t think Mayenda offers anything different to Isidor.

Deffo not yet then?...Hes not even getting a regular sub appearance yet so one can only assume (very dangerous i know)hes not doing anything in training to warrant his inclusion over mayenda.

I’d be surprised if he has the requisite fitness levels, as yet. Given he’d be expected to press as well as Isidor or Mayenda as well as chase lost causes..I’d say there’s a sometime before he’s up for starting.

Love Wilson, but I’d be giving Brobbey a chance now, we’ve spent big on him and he needs a run of matches.

Wilson can still have a big role to play coming off the bench at the same time as someone like Adingra

Big is 55m on Elantra and same on Wissa. 20m on a striker in premier league is small potatoes
35m on Jobe hasn’t stopped Dortmund keeping him in the stiffs and giving him extra training
Sometimes these things don’t work out initially
Roefs, Mukiele, Alderete, Sadiki, Diarra, Xhaka, Talbi have worked out
Time will tell.
We can’t play someone who may be a passenger. RLB can’t risk that given how we are set up to play

This, and until we give Brobbey more minutes from the bench, which he isn't really getting, i dont think we can consider starting him.
To be fair, I think Wilson looks like a Prem forward

If Brobbey’s strength is holding the ball up then Chelsea would appear to be the type of game to use him.
Losing possession and having them repeatedly coming at you isn’t going to end well.
He would need plenty support from wingers and midfield and Wilson/Mayenda might have a greater impact later on.

If we’ve worked on it in training, I can see the argument for 5-3-2.

Isidor's control and finish yesterday was fantastic. Real shame he was offside but none of the players knew that and he still had a lot of work to do when he took the ball down.

As much as we all want to see what Brobbey can do Isidor has taken his opportunity to be the main man.
