Time for a woman manager? (No specific suggestion)

Pro woman football is no where near the same standard as the men's game...
I don't think it's a question of different standard, it's a completely different sport. I think someone moving from the women's game to the men's game would be similar to an American football coach switching to football. But ...........
There is no reason why a woman couldn't come through the system as a manager , work her way up and get a job in our club. I wouldn't have a single issue with it. Unfortunately there are no such candidates that I know of at this point. Hopefully in the future they will be. Think forest green have a female manager? But not sure on her route to that role, if that's right

I don't care what sex or gender our manager is, as long as they are appointed on their skill in managing this club.

Maybes at some point in the future but don’t want to be first team to appoint a female boss, the media scrutiny and glare would be off the charts

Totally agree, as long as its not a tokenistic appointment and done on merit I've not got an issue...

Men and woman's game is separate because of physical fairness, a manager doesn't need to run or jump, so if they have the tactical knowledge and people management skills, then why not?
Don't you think they should prove themselves at lower league first? Like 99% of all male managers do? Why do you think being a woman allows them to jump straight into a top job untested?

People should be judged on merit, not their race or gender. I believe Martin Luther King once said something similar.

This. The first women boss also needs to
Do a bloody good job otherwise there
Won’t be another for a long, long time.

It’s nowhere near that %

Of the current PL managers, at least 5 got their first jobs in one of the top 2 leagues in England, Spain or Germany.

Looking at the fact that we’re going with young foreign kids, who at their age are usually pushing back against the authority of their father, maybe a mom type would be a better bet. Growing up a boy will eventually end up in a power struggle with his father at some point and it’s the mom that keeps the ship steady.
I would like to see this not for the fact she’s a woman but more for the psychological reasons. You never want to disappoint or piss of the mom because there’s no recourse.
A strong but loving hausfrau.
Aufwiedersehen
Not yet!

Like it, get that crazy old wifey Anne Robinson in. She can go around calling the players the weakest link.

There will be even more then.

How many of the 92 are managed by someone who started non league?

I can’t even be arsed to count them up
My point is, most people start at the bottom and work their way up. Being a woman doesn't mean you can jump the queue. We don't need to virtue-signal that we're progressive. We need a manager capable of doing the job.

You said 99% do. They don’t.

It’s a fair chunk that get a job in the top leagues without any experience
