Tide Is Turning

It does matter because some posters are suggesting it's only a few bed-wetting fannys who are wanting something done very very soon.

I think it's now a majority and if it is Sam's position is becoming very difficult.
I've come to realise that this board means fuck all.

Most on here would have you believe that allardyce would be booed should he be in charge if he didn't get the England job. Absolute shite.

I was gutted initially that we may lose him. I thought we had to give it a bit of time and let it work its way through. I'm now becoming more and more apathetic about allardyce in fact I'm not bothered about him leaving at all.

I realise it's his dream, but I couldn't give a shit about his dream, just safc. I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of action or comments coming from allardyce or safc on the subject or even just the preperation for the new season as if it's still rolling on as normal, given the timing and the impact this will be having and now as we're hearing Howe will also be in talks and maybe Klinsmann too.

I'm not entirely sure what it is or how it's going to happen but crunch time is upon us.

well, thats a recipe for him to string us along, for Christ's sake the job (SAFC) is ours to offer

Don't underestimate the feelings on this board
Fair enough a lot don't go to games - like yourself but a fair few on here are regulars

I don't think it is.

Most fans I speak to who don't get on this board are prepared to wait and see what happens. Certainly wouldn't boo allardyce at Hartlepool, for example, if he is still in charge.

I think it's a case of this board getting a bit hysterical and impatient. Not for the first time.

There has to be a cut off point though when a decision has to be made. But we aren't there yet imo.

Hope he's still the manager for years to come tbh.

Surely we are there. We're 4 days away from starting our pre season games and we need the manager to be drilling in what he wants from his team for the upcoming season. We need a period of integration for the new players too.

I've come full circle since he was appointed, wasn't too enthused when he signed, would have happily give him a sponge bath after the Chelsea game at home now I hope he fucks right off as soon as possible.

This....maybe not a sponge bath though

Of course it's the majority. There's a small pack on here that say the same thing every pre-season. They never change. We haven't signed a player yet, not even our successful loan players from last season, we look likely to lose our manager, Short has proven time and time again that he's incompetent but yet this summer is going to be different.

Anyone telling a Sunderland fan to be patient is an arse imo. We've been patient since the late 50s.

A good start to the season would be essential.
A bad one with a few defeats and the crowd would turn on him with his standing now diminished from last season because of his willingness to keep SAFC waiting whilst he satisfies his own personal agenda

Really? Why haven't attendances declined then?

Why should attendances decline? Why hasn't matchday revenue increased in proportion with increased attendances?

The feelings on this board (jokes and windups aside) are generally a true reflection of the common feeling amongst our support.

If he goes, thanks for keeping us up, if he stays nowt changes, still plenty of time to bring players in, pre seasons all about building up fitness and giving players game time in there legs, all the prem teams are back in training now so most players will be around 85/90 % fit at this stage, still plenty of time before the season starts

:lol: Incorrect. You should get out more mate, the general feelings of this board very rarely reflect the true nature of our support.

oh and attendences would naturally decline if they did. doom and gloom on here constantly. if it were like that in relaity of course attendances would reflect that, no matter what spin you choose to put on it.

Well no it wouldn't as many use the messageboard as a platform to vent their concerns. Where as once in the stadium they are fully supportive.

We still give away tickets. A few thousand each game I imagine, not to mention that season card prices have actually been reduced. You're best of comparing matchday income, not attendances.

Everyone I spoken to recently have been angry at the situation and concerned that our prevseason preparations have been inadvertingly sabotaged. We've failed to make any signings and I can't see us making many breakthroughs anytime soon now we look as though we're losing our manager.

Yet another period of uncertainty abead and it's difficult to have any real confidence in the board.
