Tickets not valid for replay

If that's aimed at me then if I can get a ticket will absolutely be at the rearranged game (not sure what replay you're referring to)
Not aimed at you at all you sensitive sausage. I thought you were saying it shouldn’t be free anyway?
Replay was easier to write than rearranged fixture.

Maybe Accrington should invest in better drainage for their pitch, the rain was pretty bad but other games managed to finish.

I would say it is unfair to ask people to pay full price again when, although by no means entirely Accrington’s fault, they could have done more to make sure games like this one can be completed.

They may be a small club but they are a fully professional club, many other clubs of that size have invested in better pitches. They decided not to, fans are paying twice as a result.

I was there, still had a good day out and the thought of being short changed has never occurred to me. My comments are my own personal feelings, I don't claim to be speaking on behalf of anyone else.

Never said you were. However you made a statement saying people expect everything for nowt, that's simply not the case. A fixture has failed to be fulfilled, can't expect people to just think 'oh it's Stanley they need the money' so any criticism of those wanting refunds or free entry into the rearranged fixture is arse bollocks.

Not sure why it's a disgrace. Staff need paying, police bill, utilities ect. Some people expect everything for nowt.
Utter bollocks, if you pay for something you are entitled to get what you have forked out for. If you buy a book, you expect all the chapters to be there, not find a note just past half way saying that due to inclement weather the printers had closed down early that day, however additional books would be made available later on for the same price.

IMHO that game should never have kicked off, utter farce, rain in December WTF. Its not as if they had had monsoon weather for weeks in Lancashire, its on the wet side of the pennines, the club was either not prepared, or the ground is not fit for purpose, kick the feckers out of the league.

I have said in another post that I don't think the game should have been played. However it seems to becoming a competition to see who can come up with the most whacky hypothetical situation and compare it to that. My post was about having to pay for another ticket, not about getting a refund.

"Some people" not everyone "some".

If the game had of been called off before halftime you’d of got your money back, EFL rules stipulate this. As long as clubs stuck to rules there should not be an argument

If you're talking about this regulation EFL Official Website - Ticketing Terms & Conditions , closer reading will tell you that that regulation applies to Wembley finals hosted by the EFL, and not normal fixtures. As far as I'm aware, ticketing arrangements for replayed fixtures are at the discretion of the home club.

Should be automatic refunds, then its up to the ticket holder to decide on wether or not to go to the rearranged fixture, bearing in mind these games usually take place midweek, when work / family commitments may well make attendance impossible.
Its the 21st century AS are in the entertainment business, they have apparently invested heavily in their playing staff to get out of non league football. Surely investing in adequate drainage and a suitable pitch should be one of the conditions for being allowed to play in the EFL?

Dunno if mentioned earlier (haven't read the thread) but will the re-match be free to AS season ticket holders? I am guessing so but surely that can eb used as an argument around the cost for non-season ticket holders?

What happened when our home game against Fulham was cancelled in similar circumstances 10 + years ago.

That's a better precedent, and I'm sure the rearranged game wasn't free for non season ticket holders

Yea you’re right, looked it up since I posted, all efl regulation say is the every club must have a published policy re ticketing of abandoned games, so it looks like we are in Accrington’s hands as to what will happen

Interestingly the visiting club is due compensation to cover travelling costs for one game from the home club

If it was that simple, they probably would have.

No it’s not free to st holders as they have paid to see every home league game, it’s just going to cost less per game cos they have in affect got an extra game
