Tickets not valid for replay

It’s like on the tui holiday Facebook page a few weeks back, people wanting compensation/refunds because they’d booked holidays to Lapland and there wasn’t much snow, so if you go on a holiday for the sun and it rains do you get compensation :lol:
Aye I remember that. Corker. Some people are either as thick as a co-op sossidge or they’ve got more neck than Jack Charlton.

I’ve noticed that since the match was abandoned. People suggesting Mr Donald should give out free tickets for the replay, half price buses. Very odd.
I could understand if we were raking in millions in The Premier League. I'm sure come the end of the season we'll see some sort of gesture from them to acknowledge the support. I'd rather every penny went back in the pot.

Exactly.

It'd be good if the fans that were there could be reimbursed in some form, but Accrington clearly can't afford for that reimbursement to be valid tickets for the replay. So stop moaning.

A discount wouldn't be unreasonable, but I wouldn't expect free entry. It wasn't directly Accrington's fault that the match was abandoned and it will cost them a significant amount to hold the match again (Policing, Stewards, ground staff etc) so they could even end up losing money if they let everyone back in for nowt.

I believe they also have to pay some of SAFC's costs related to travel/accommodation for an abandoned fixture.

Dunno why anyone would expect free tickets like. The majority of the match was played but nothing can be done about the weather. Maybe discount the tickets for those their or subsidise some travel as a good will gesture

I need to ask, why do you keep calling it a friendly?

A league match is a match between 2 teams that counts towards the end of seaason league table.

A friendly is a match that has no bearing on any competition and is effectively just for fun.

In this case, the match started as a league match, but as a result of the abandonment, became a friendly.

It didn’t. It ended as an abandoned league game.

Until it was called off it was played out as a league game.

Why should it be free?

Not being funny like but the travelling fans got 80% of the game, so maybe 20% off the match ticket.

80% of a game that never happened?

the whole set up was a farce yesterday so forgive me for not siding with poor old Accrington here.

will they be charging season card holders extra or can they afford to host the game without any additional income from their own support?

if they can't afford to host an additional game then cancel it and give us the 3 points.

if the game was called off at 9am yesterday morning, they'd reimburse ticket price but because we stood in the pissing rain for 80 minutes then we're entitled to nowt?

The righteous indignation of some of our fans was also embarrassing yesterday.

I just expected to get on the bus, go to the game, get into the game for kick off and go home. Instead we were held in an empty car park for 10-15 minutes, escorted in needlessly, pushed from pillar to post outside in a muddy field whilst trying to enter the ground with a valid ticket & then told we can pay £20 to do it all over again.
