Tickets not valid for replay

Not surprising but disappointing. My first thought was that Accrington would be absolutely delighted the whole match would be played again.

It's their biggest fixture for years, bumper crowd and they're going to get it twice (re-arranged match will probably be short on numbers but still)7

Just the way it goes. At least it's only Accrington we have to travel to again and not Pompey.

Maybe the deluge yesterday impaired my hearing...but I
I'm sure that i heard their PA announcer say that tickets would be valid for the replay...their owner not having that it seems...

Not sure why it's a disgrace. Staff need paying, police bill, utilities ect. Some people expect everything for nowt.
I’ve noticed that since the match was abandoned. People suggesting Mr Donald should give out free tickets for the replay, half price buses. Very odd.

Seems like a top bloke based on the podcast I heard. They really need the money. Sorry for the lads and lasses of course.

Agree. While I do sympathise with anyone who lost out financially yesterday, clubs like Accrington really do need the money. Their average gate is under 3k I believe and clearly not viable to support a league one team without extra financial support.

Yeah, that owner comes across as a decent guy. I wish them well this season apart from when they play us.

the announcer told folk to hold on to their tickets, never mentioned anything else. we were sat right near a speaker.

The owner has tweeted in reply to someone who mentioned this. Words to the effect of “the tannoy person doesn’t pay the bills”

The ticket price was a small fraction of the cost of the weekend in many cases.

As a gesture Sunderland could draw lots for which of us soggy bastards is given hospitality at the next home game to meet the players, photos, eat loads of bait, etc.

At least every Accrington ticket buyer would feel they were in with the chance of some compensation and summat money can't buy.

Getting free tickets would cost the club a bundle and mean little to me and many others.

It’s glaringly obvious, even to me. Can’t understand why folk are suggesting otherwise.
It’s like on the tui holiday Facebook page a few weeks back, people wanting compensation/refunds because they’d booked holidays to Lapland and there wasn’t much snow, so if you go on a holiday for the sun and it rains do you get compensation :lol:
