Ticket Office

I bought my Wembley ticket on the phone on Monday afternoon. I asked for category 3 and even asked if I could get a seat behind the goal.

I got my ticket in the post on Wednesday. Its row 1 in one of the blocks on the side of the pitch towards the corner .

I've now rang today asking if I could change and they've basically told us to fuck off. The man on the phone was a patronising bellend and spoke to us like I was thickest person on the planet (obvious joke opportunity here). Been told there is no way I can change my ticket for another.

I know some of you will say I should be grateful to get a ticket but spending £72 to have to sit with a poor view is shocking in my opinion. Also seems unfair that those people in phase 1 like myself are going to get worst seats than those in phase 2.

Having been to Wembley a fair bit mate, I can safely say there isn't a poor view in the stadium.

Lots of people in Phase 2 will have multiple loyalty points, other will be out longest serving season ticket holders. They only used the loyalty system as a crude way to split demand, not as some sort of reward.[DOUBLEPOST=1391689996][/DOUBLEPOST]

You're wrong there like. Source, lad called Andy, he knows his ticketing stuff.

I genuinely hope my information is wrong (I would do I'm not a season ticket holder) but the source was pretty certain and pretty close to the decision.

If people go to away games, accumulate points and get in there early to get a Wembley ticket, then there should be some sort of option to choose your tickets. Regardless, they are going to sell out and it's not that much of a chore for the TO to do it this way. And it's the fairest way.

The problem is; if you give fans the option of where to buy ticket you will get dicks standing in the ticket office for ages asking for different rows etc.

The staff in the ticket office are probably working their arses off at the moment

Phase 2 is where its at. It's for the cool kids.

As a fan who will be a part of Phase 2 I of course agree that Phase 2 fans are the better fans, but yet I feel we have been treated badly. We fans without loyalty points been made to wait a week whilst those with points have had the best pickings with no explanation as to why. Leaving us with potentially more bad seats where visibility is poor than good where you get that balance of view and distance. So fans in Phase 1 only have themselves to blame. Did they not have the choice of stating where they would like to sit?

On the topic of the Phase 1 & 2 thing, I am going to pick up my coach ticket today after the appointment to the Eye Infirmary for an update. Coach tickets are available to everyone at all times. Why was the seat tickets not? Fans a part of Phase 2 should have been, as a gesture from ALS especially, been allowed to solely apply and with fans with loyalty points having their chance to apply for a coach ticket next week. That would have been fairer to everyone.

From what I've heard from a very credible source there isn't going to be a phase 3. Sorry I know that's annoying without a source but it is more than someone's job is worth for me to say

Fair do's bud, you are only passing on what you heard. Although I have to say I was told only yesterday but a lad at the club that they are already preparing for phase 3 (although the number of tickets in this face could be very small)[DOUBLEPOST=1391691332][/DOUBLEPOST]
view from about row 8/9, hardly a nightmare.

UPDATE IN:- You're radio rental

Can't understand why some think they've been dealt shite seats? Have they actually been to Wembley before and sat in same block or just taking others word for it? Doubt whether there's a really shite seat anyhow. Should really stop whinging on and consider those unfortunate enough not being able to afford/get a ticket (not me). Some sad cases on here. be f***ing grateful

Im in exactly the same position, wanted to be in the big blocks behind goal, at least half way up, preferably higher, hence the reason of choosing the £72 tickets.
I end up in block 119 on the side in row 2.
I'm f***ing fuming, and I always stand, basically there no f***ing good, phase 1 with points should have been about choice, I should have just waited a week, or bought the £40 tickets

There are some bitter, self-righteous helmets on this forum. Those that have the most loyalty points (the club's way of determining loyalty) get first dibs on the cheap seats. Some have been put in row 1 right in the corner whilst the blocks right behind the goal will go to those (on the whole) with no points and/or phase 3. How people can't see why this will annoy some fans I don't know. If you've served your time and done the miles then you should have got the pick of the bunch. The SAFC website even stated you'd be allocated the best available and the corners are not the best under any circumstances.

Isn't there a practical problem that stops fans getting a wider choice of ticket.

If the ticket office is just tearing tickets off a block clearly every position at the counter can only have a certain selection.

Equally, those that are phoning up can only have choice of those ticket blocks not on sale at the counter.

Also, as mentioned before the club will be trying to fill the tickets block by block.

As long as it's not the bottom tier, row 1 will be one of the best seats at wembley. I was row 1 upper tier for the England Scotland game, and it's the best seat I've had. Saying that, I've liked every seat I've had

Aye that's fair enough like. I just wanna watch the match like. I have memories of our seats at Old Trafford against Millwall behind the goal and they were a mare - had nee idea what the frig was gannin' on at the other end.
I was front row on the half way line. Got texts all game saying I was on the telly..
