Absolute f***ing rubbish, an insult to Mexican food, as bland a meal as you could ever eat.

I like it, I go a lot with work, but I see what Thack said, it’s not authentic at all. But I don’t mind the grub like.

If that's the one on Claypath, its canny enough. Hardly authentic Mexican food, but pretty standard Tex Mex, without coming from bland chain like Chichitos

The Tapas Factory just up from Elvet Bridge was really good last time I ate in Durham. Cracking Spanish bait and owned by a couple of Spaniards so canny authentic:

Love the tapas factory. Miles better than la tasca (now shut I believe) and reasonably priced an all.

A student good value restaurant in my opinion. Hardly sophisticated but if you want a lot on your plate and a casual night out it’s fine.

That was what I thought of it, too; everyone at work thought I was f***ing mental because apparently it was the best food they'd ever had.

Love the tapas factory. Miles better than la tasca (now shut I believe) and reasonably priced an all.

Didn't realise La Tasca was shut. It was always dead in there. I wonder who will move into there as it's a prime site?

I don't mind it. Had a few enjoyable meals in there. Lots of vegatarian/vegan options aswell as the usual stuff.

They are down to three branches now.

The Hogshead was opposite La Tasca, where the Library pub is now. Or was there another Hogshead in the La Tasca space before that?

Yeah, pretty sure La Tasca used to be a Hogshead pub. I used to drink Hoegaarden in there, one of the few places that sold it in the early 2000's.
The Library Pub was Varsity.
