This time with Alan Partridge

No they didn't.
In one scene Alan says to Dave Clifton "I'm 43 you cheeky git". In another scene he phones his son and tells him he's 22 and wasting his life by spending Saturday afternoon in bed with a girl.
Following on from him murdering Forbes McAllister on air, having the new commissioning editor Tony Hayers on his Knowing Me Knowing Yule special, he meets with Tony Hayers in episode one.

In KMKY, he mentions his son Fernando who is "at Cambridge".

In series 2 of I'm AP Lynne says "you're nearly 50" when he has his foot on a spike. Series 2 was 5 years after series 1.
The timeline is pretty consistent throughout.
I haven't watched series 1 or 2 for a long time but in series 1, Alan tells Dave he's 42 and lynne is 50,as revealed in the Helen Mirren conversation. In series 2,Alan is 47. He says this to his old school enemy who is now a teacher.

In the new episode of This Time, he was a pupil in the 70s. I think they have now changed his age to mid 50s when he should be 64.

Fantastic episode today mind.

On the Marc Maron podcast Coogan mentioned that Partridge has been slowly becoming the same age as himself over the years.

Cracking episode although I feel the segment with sidekick Simon doesn't work very well

He was one of the main characters in a "comedy" called Gap Year, that (from memory) may have been on E4.

I only started watching it because that fit Irish comic lass (Aisling Bea) in it but there was another even fitter lass (Brittney Wilson) in it - who spent most of the 8 episodes cavorting around in tight denim shorts. Just saying.

Tim Key? He's generally worth seeing if his stand up show is on locally. Acting wise, he specialises in awkward characters.

Gap Year was quite good, from what I remember, if a bit far fetched at times.
