This potentially getting promoted 'too soon' debate...

You take promotion when it comes. why on earth would supporters be bothered when we went up? The problem once we are up, whenever that is, rests squarely with the Board.

you can never pick and choose promotion. Look at forest - eventually decided that it was time to go up after 30 years - straight into relegation trouble.

Also no guarantees that we will be up the top of the table and challenging next year.

I hate to bring them up, but do you think the mags are saying it's too soon to be in the CL and they aren't ready to compete? I highly doubt it.

That said, this playoff run is a bonus, because it has come from nowhere, especially with the adversity we've faced this season. But it's a great opportunity, being in the PL solves all our problems.

Take the money spend sensibly and even if we get relegated we will be financially in a better place and can maybe bounce back stronger, they key is to not just toss money and wages all ower on the off chance of stopping up

Everyone was saying the championship was a huge step up from league 1.
I thought we were certs for relegation when we went up under Reid & Keane. We held our own comfortably.

Not quite. Many of us said that it wasn't anywhere near as good as people were making out and much poorer than our previous spells there.

If we had of beaten Charlton in 98, we may have finished in back to back 6th places, in the premier league...who knows?

Just like cup runs you can't pick and choose when opportunity knocks, you have to try your all to grasp it when it comes along.

Unlike under Moyes I don't think we would be a laughing stock in the top flight, the potential in the squad is tremendous and the fans would be behind them from day 1.

Never in 60 years have I wanted us not to win again, so not going to start now. being worried about what would happen if we win the two games is essentially what that involves.
