It is if they both play as holding midfielders. Phillips was ambitious, dynamic and willing to carry the ball forward the other day and wasn’t playing as a ‘holding’ midfielder. He lost that verve tonight and it made for a fairly grim showing from the middle of the park.

I understand that. We have a poor defence. Protect it against France, or Italy but this is Scotland ffs.

Quite a lot of sides tore Robertson to pieces this season.
You also need to build momentum in tournaments. I don't see much of that here.
Plus side we didn't lose. A good point against excellent opposition. Will stand us in good stead for sterner tasks ahead.
I didn't write them off. I do however expect England to attack the 3rd lowest ranked team in the competition.
