This Is Wearside - Poppy Day Display


Not sure how I feel about it cos it makes me physically feel sick when the mags do it but surely given the short time frame and lack of organisation, telling everyone to bring a scarf would be the best way to get something aesthetically pleasing underway and needing the least organisation.

Make sure the letters are the same size and font and not like they've been drawn by a child.

Aye, everything we had has been handed over. The flags we got made, the printed banners (not the home made ones) and the massive surfer are all theirs to do with as they please.

I’m not involved at all anymore so have no idea as to why there’s no display. I do know what the club are like tho so I suspect they’re somehow involved.

Real shame the SO37 lads and those involved had to pack in due to the club.

I think what they’re saying is all the materials for these kind of things come from the same factory in Germany. They’re the biggest and pretty much only place that produces this kind of thing.

They’ll have been inundated with printed banners, pitch flags, all the merchandise for the Olympics etc.

Now I’m not saying that a reason not to have a display because there’s hundreds of items that are already in circulation. They could put the surfer out.

As I say, I suspect it’s to do with the club being arsey but the new group don’t want to lock horns with the club the way we did because look how that ended up😂

It's just another reason to have a dig at the club, apparently, to point out how So37 were treated.

The lack of striker fiasco, The BCB fiasco, digital ticket fiasco, maxim brewery fiasco, Benidorm pre season fiasco, and many other fiascî that went before ....all are just fans twisting

It's a bit of a thankless task to be fair. The original group always seemed to be struggling for numbers too.

I'll be honest, even though I'd like to see a few flags and surfers or whatever given the choice of turning up early at the ground or having a few beers the later would get the nod every time.
