Net spend of £6m this window so far, last season it was £13m, season before that we spent near enough fuck all aswell. The only time we spent big was keane/bruce era... small club mentality with no ambition

Short joined in 2008, it's been nearly 7 years since Drumaville left, would love to here why you apportion a large amount of the current mess on them.

There are some absolute tradegies at birth on here mind when it comes to understanding even the basic financial problems we have.
Given how much Ellis has bought into SAFC and the fans I'm pretty sure that if it was a simple as spending £50m to finally banish our relegation demons he would have done it.
It's clearly not that simple.
Short took full control and bought them out in may 2009...What year was that?
It's the term much I don't agree with. They contributed a small bit, but nothing much apart from an increase in TV money has changed and we haven't improved on the pitch.
The new TV deal means we probably will be in profit by 16/17. If we are still in the league.Well its not the case you make either, in 2013 Maggie Byrne says its the clubs aim to be in profit by 2016/2017 season, and I would say they will not make this target given the fact only Wickham has really left and we have added 5 players to the wage bill.
Byrne also goes on to state "There are plenty of profitable clubs but they aren't in the premier league" So it would appear the board are clearly failing on their own targets for the club.
Ellis Short is showing he isn't capable of running a football club, there isn't one area he is excelling in at SAFC.
Which year was that and how did it compare to other teams?Iirc in their final season at the club they overspent by close to £50m and had wages at 85%+ of turnover. Their business model was quite frankly shite. In fact, Quinny himself admitted had Short not arrived on the scene, the club was in the shit. Short inherited that mess and has been trying to put things right since.
Sadly since promotion, the club has lost money at an alarming rate.

That doesn't make any sense. We would be in profit for 2017 as the financial results would show TV income from 2015
I bet they are ...The last accounts are 2013/4 and by then the tv cash has gone up by another large chunk..Well its not the case you make either, in 2013 Maggie Byrne says its the clubs aim to be in profit by 2016/2017 season, and I would say they will not make this target given the fact only Wickham has really left and we have added 5 players to the wage bill.

Unless we are in the championship of course..
The results cover a period of time, the results will be for 16/17 when they are released makes no difference.Financial results post the year that's just been, not the upcoming year.
Next years results wont have the income of the new TV deal on.
Which year was that and how did it compare to other teams?
I thank Short for wasting his money on us and in no way am I anti short, but I can't see how you can put much of the blame onto Drumaville, especially financial wise. In fact apart from the TV money the accounts are terrible. 6 years and according to swiss ramble we have the 2nd worst wages to turnover % in the league from the last published accounts.
The club was in the shit before Drumaville arrived as well.

There's another at least £30million tv cash a year if we are still in the Pl by thenOur losses actually increased in those results, something we are meant to be addressing, I wouldn't be so sure, the club isn't showing any signs of this being likely.
I'm saying we probably will be in profit by the 16/17 season. Just because the financial results for that period aren't out until the following year doesn't mean we aren't in profit. It does when your Chief Executive is saying we will be in profit by 2016/2017 season and using the clubs debt as an excuse for not spending money.
So was wages turnover in 09 77%? Which has floated between that and 82% for past few seasons and now 2nd largest according to Swiss ramble after the tv money at 67%.Short took full control and bought them out in may 2009...
The wage bill troubles started really big style with then and it's only the last accounts where it hasn't been way more than the Tv cash...
