To br fair they're ICC elite umpires and in the case of the two Richards, for over ten years, Gough about five. We just don't see them since the impartial umpires ruling came in a few years ago.

Haha. Like I say, impartial umpires

No balls are supposed to be called as soon as the foot goes down, which gives the batsman a split second to have a swing in the knowledge he cannot be out caught, bowled, stumped or lbw
...
Or even hit wicket
I know rules about no balls but the fact is they let no balls go for dot balls etc and far too many.

I agree with you, they need to be consistent for it to be impartial and fair and, and called instantly for the batsman to receive the benefit of the free hit. Letting the third umpire decide upstairs with multiple replays takes that away.

Seen the wickets. Excellent. Bat the rest of the day, lead around 320. It can rain Monday, but game will be won by england from here

I think the windies are gone mentally now. May bowl well with the new ball but we may already have enough of a lead, to win the match.

f***ing ridiculous Broad was ever left out this side
I don't get this, they've played one friendly in months and people expect us to just pick the same 3 seamers for 3 back to back tests? You've got to rotate in the current circumstances for the good of the players. Though I do get that you'd try to get ahead in the series with your first choice in the first test but then they wouldn't play in the second. I think they just wanted Anderson or Broad in every match.
