Cheques and fax machines are still in everyday use over here. I hadn’t written a cheque in years before i got here but use them all the time. We’ve just about implemented chip & pin.

Postal Orders, I thought they were finished years ago.

The last time I used a Postal Order was to pay for some stamps that I was buying from a mail order company when I was about 10. The advert was in my Victor comic which I bought every week from Summersides next to the Fire Station (when it was a Fire Station).

Doe your online banking not allow you to do it? HSBC and Lloyd’s both do.

When I send a cheque to my lads they take a photo of both sides and send it to the bank to cash it.
