country walks with good friends and great food and drink beats theme parks hands down for me every time

if I could just go on the rides without all the driving and queuing that would be great but it still could not compare to how beautiful the countryside is

My thoughts exactly

Thought about going to Alton Towers as it's only 30 minutes away and probably quieter than the Peak District at the minute.
I should have guessed when i realised what's usually open countryside for 7-8 months of the year had turned into tent city and the roads were jammed with ***** driving at 20 mph.

Don't get me wrong I love going on rides, especially rollercoasters. Mr.cat and I want to take a trip across the states marked out by visiting the biggest rollercoasters.

Long country walks with a bottle of brandy, your dog, a great gaggle of mates which includes a deli owner who brings the best of what's left of her stock are better.
