Their penalty

Their penalty came just after their centre half play acted to get gelhardt in trouble, going down like a sack of shit holding his face despite no contact.

Second half, that lanky knob head tried to dive two to 3 times for a penalty in the space of about 5 mins.

They were a disgrace.
Can you imagine grown men going on like this, up against the youngest team in the division. They completely lost my respect yesterday, I hope they miss out on the playoffs. You’d have thought we were playing a Spanish or South American team.

Ref had a good game other than that howler. Which should not be overlooked. Another day he costs us two or three points, thefact we went on to piss all ower them shouldn’t make a difference. Him and the lino will no doubt be asked for their decision making from the panel…but nowt will happen as they probably just made a mistake. The player though…that’s out and out cheating and the way the FA and football league deal with it should be reviewed. Retrospective cards/fines and calling thr player out for out and out cheating (or conduct not in the spirit of the game) wouldquickly stamp it out. WBA got their just rewards. I thought at half time, what goes around comes around here…..

If the player stayed on his feet, the contact probably would have come as 09 had jumped in recklessly but as it was he jumps before contact so you can't possibly give that.

It wasn't a pen but i'd rather suffer the occasional bad decision than have VAR involved in football.
The amount of bad decisions we regularly see (usually against us) I would welcome VAR & put up with the very occasional wrong decision.

Yet another really poor decision that's gone against us. We've been on the end of some real stinkers this season.

Same. VAR is in the PL anyhow, we've got to start to get used to it as that's where we want to be.

Still waiting for retrospective yellow/red cards to be introduced. Chong should have got a red and Cirkins 2nd yello taken back.
The diving shite from yesterday should get a yelow for faining injury and basically cheating.

Not so sure.

I reckon if we had VAR this season, we'd have many more points on the board. The officiating has been as bad if not worse than league one at times and they'll probably cost someone dearly in this run up.

I am. VAR is absolutely shite for the match going supporter. It's bad enough watching it play out on the telly mind. People should just grow up and accept mistakes are made and there's not some sort of conspiracy going on.

Agreed. If you could put right all the crappy decisions this season but we had to have VAR, I'd not take that deal.
Unfortunately there’s to much cheating going on, VAR is the only way to get on top of it.
I’ve just been reading a couple of WBA boards, they seem to think that they should have had 2 or 3 pens & a couple of Sunderland players should have been sent off.

100% agree, but won’t happen in the ridiculous world of football.

You even have fans amazingly checking where a ref is from, in the Coventry game had fans working out how far Northampton is from Coventry and screaming bias because it was just 20 odd miles away:D

Football doesn’t need VAR if all concerned just accept mistakes unfortunately they don’t!

Don’t need VAR, need panel after games and action taken when cheating proven including points deductions, that would get rid it if they had the balls to it.

Swift(who dived and rolled about for the penalty) picked up what I thought was a pretty cheap yellow card second half.
My guess at the time was the ref had seen the replay at half time and was trying to even things up

A coming together of two players, after the incident Onien looked like nothing had happened, their player was pole axed, rolled over 3 times in agony & lay motionless for aboubt 30 seconds afterwards, amazingly he was ok to take the pen. Total embarrassment.
