The Who with Orchestra

Folk griping about prices - ticket fees are always a scam, mind - don't realise how everything in general has gone up. Utter nobodies in little venues are charging £25+ these days, and that's a bunch of blokes compared to a full orchestra.

I think it would be worth £100 to hear this live.

I don't.....it sounds like pompous crap and i like the Who.

In the 80s/90s bands made just as much off record/cd sales as they did off touring but now Spotify and music streaming platforms have killed that so the only way for artists to make money is by touring and selling merchandise at ridiculous prices.

Also the Platinum/ Gold/ silver circle scams .Want to be at the front? great give me £750, in the 80s/90s you queued up the night before and when the gates opened you legged it to the front.

Great days - No Ticketmaster either. Just queue up at the box office to get the best tickets or send an SAE with a postal order to the little old lady in the box office stating where you`d like to sit and a couple of days later a nice printed ticket. No e-tickets, no apps just a proper ticket.

The Fire Station's ticketing system is superb, in keeping with the venue. Pick your seats, pay your money. No booking fees or admin fees.

Why can't more/all venues offer the same?

I do miss proper tickets though! Anyone looking through my collection would assume I'd stopped going to gigs years ago.

This is all true. Still not sure why we can’t gripe about it though?
