Vinnie Samways. I had a long conversation about him with a taxi driver on Gran Canaria - the taxi driver was amazed that he wasn't an England international.

Here we go then, a tricky one.

I was born in Kreuzstraßl, West Germany in 1949.

I played for TSV 1860 München, FC Schalke 04, 1. FC Köln and VfL Bochum in a career lasting from 1968 to 1988, scoring over 250 league goals. I also played 45 times for West Germany, representing my country in 2 world cups.

I was particularly known for scoring with bicycle kicks.
