Did anyone watch the new Shane Meadows thing last night? Seems like it could be a difficult watch but certainly very good television.

He was. He was basically on screen for the full episode, wasn't he?

Meadows is good at doing grim, sort of enjoyed it despite being on edge for an hour waiting for something horrible to happen.

  9. Yeah. The scene at his exes house was brilliant.

    This.

The mortal scenes were well acted though.

Undoubtedly one of our most talented actors, when he woke up hungover was really disturbing whilst accurate.

He's a phenomenal actor - and everything Shane Meadows makes is class.

    Great first episode.

Can sense a sinister undercurrent. As if he was abused as a kid or something.

He must have other stuff on the go , I doubt the royalties from repeats of "the royal " will be up to much

Well, if his wikipedia page is right, he's co-writing a musical about Everton.
