He's just an typical nice boy from Oxbridge, soft as shite.

Edit: not quite, from Wiki:
Exeter, the University for the posh boys with not quite enough brains for Oxbridge.

When Pietersen referred to the county cricket muppets on 18 grand a year I am sure he had Moores, Downton and Whitaker in mind.
Whitaker. He was the selector with the duty of going around the Counties checking up on the form of players and therefore one of the guilty men for the selection for the 2013 Ashes debacle. He dodged a bullet there.

Good comment by Carberry. 'At Hampshire we try to score as many as possible during the power play overs, at England we're given a (low) target where we want to be after 10 overs'.

I've been banging on about not pressing on during the 1st 10 overs all tournament, wasting opportunities to really punish the opposition

Actually I am all for setting a target during the power play, a bare minimum 50 from the 1st 10 (when batting first) but after that as many as you can possibly get.

Whitaker. He was the selector with the duty of going around the Counties checking up on the form of players and therefore one of the guilty men for the selection for the 2013 Ashes debacle. He dodged a bullet there.

Aye, utter clown. Watched Onions rip the county circuit a new one all season and then picked Tremlett ahead of him.
