The Velvet Underground

so the story goes: their first album only sold 10,000 copies but everyone who bought went out and started a band

  • Roxy music
  • Bowie
  • Arctic Monkeys
  • Talking Heads
  • Joy Division
  • The white Stripes
  • U2
  • Nirvana
  • The Kooks
  • Flaming Lips
  • REM
  • Morrissey
  • Sex Pistols
Has there ever been a more influential band, ever?

The Kooks? Much as I really like The Velvet Underground, that's more of a dog turd on the forehead than a recommendation.

I’m slowly getting into them like. Stuck the Velvet Underground radio on Spotify on a few times coming home from work. Need to give them more of a careful listen.
