Re: The use of the word "scum" for mag"

As if you can judge someone's character by the colour of their football scarf. Get some perspective.

I had a conversation with an Indian lad at work the other day along these lines - I told him to give someone a chance and that you can't judge a person by his passport "I agree boss but when that passport is Egyptian I make an exception"

Ive been attacked by newcastle fans for being a sunderland fan in concord so works both ways really.

Agreed, both as childish and tribal as each other. I like to see all the north east teams do well.

We don't really use the term scum that much, the only use we have of it as far as i can remember is when we win a game (we beat the scum 5-1), which is more a play on when you lot sang it i think, particularly when you beat us at SJP 2-1 2 years on the trot.

Nobody says "have you got your tickets for the scum?" it is always "have you got your tickets for the mackems?"

Tripe. My mates call me it at five a side.

We call them scum, they call us scum, every club in the country is called scum by some other supporters. Puerile if you ask me.
