The trouble with Home Alone

What A Waster

Never realised what a bunch of absolute horrors the McAllister family are. Really bad people. Every one of them. Especially that Uncle Frank.

The fact that the hero is a violent, lying, manipulative, psychopath that is emotionally abused by his family doesn't make it any less fun :p

Agreed.
Great in the second one where he's throwing bricks at their heads from the top of the building, even if it is attempted murder.

"LOOK what you DID you little JERK!"

 Harsh as fuck.

It's not even his fault!

Good job this horrifying experience didn't have a negative effect on Kevin's life

To be honest I'd be surprised if young Kevin didn't grow up to be some kind of serial killer, or at least very cruel to animals.
It's alarming the way he concocted those booby traps/torture methods, then really enjoyed himself and taunted the burglars.

3 years later he did a film called the good son which was so obviously inspired by someone thinking the exact same thing about his character being secretly evil in home alone

No surprise there. The way his family make him sleep in the loft with that kid that wets the bed is shocking.
The fact that they aren't even bothered that the lad is wetting the bed is another example of terrible parenting. They're actually celebrating the fact that they can use one lads bedwetting as a punishment for another kid.
Letting him drink Pepsi late at night, all that sugar and caffeine as well.
Terrible family.
Uncle Frank an absolute sponger as well.

Yeah.... any movie with carol of the bells in its soundtrack has a tinge of horror about it for me.
