I sit at the back of the ss and to be honest i found it a little cringeworthy but there is a minority of clowns at the back, that bloke who has a huge head (sure his lungs are in head) just shouts shite all game

little 5p lugs well below his eyes. its a shame cos there is a solid gorup of singers there but the restriected view rows just behind them have been taken by charvers who are utterly clueless

 I know who you mean. Sure he is on here.

I found it all a bit strange but I think it was people just enjoying themselves after what has been a very frustrating time at the SOL. Harmless banter imo with the odd exception.

I think it was daft trying to get him to wave, and I still refuse to sing "he shags who he wants" awful song and shouldn't be heard at a match ever again. The rest of it was all in good fun.

Sounded like they were supporting him to me. I would have taken it that way if I was him. He played really well (apart from the shot) so it may well have inspired him.

this, I'm not sure how anyone could take getting cheered and applauded from the fans as a bad thing?

What? Every time he did anything? Even just touch the ball? Sounded piss-takey to me. Like he is some kind of comedy figure.

It obviously was. I thought our fans must have it in for him or something.

Especially with that silly shag who he wants song.

Ironic cheering.

When do home fans direct ironic cheering to their own players? I'm sure
Titus took it how it was meant, as a laugh.

I can remember when all the fans used to chant 'Zenden give is us a dance...' Zenden and the rest of the players would just laugh

Right, I was in the South Stand last night and I found it funny and endearing at the same time. How long has it been since we had smiles on our faces? Poker-faced lot on here. And I'm 48 (today).

Happy birthday and grow up ;)

Last night at the Sunderland Stadium of Light for one.

It also often happened when Craig Gordon managed to kick the ball straight. Kelvin Clown too. It isn't the first time.

Totally different, Zenden did a silly dance. Titus was wrongfully accused of one of the worst crimes a man can be accused of.
