The system.

every time we get beat people on here say it was lack of effort, what a load of shite! It was nothing to do with effort it was constantly giving the ball away that was the problem. Plus there 1st goal was a fluke, and 2 of the most blatant handballs u will see. Doesn't matter how bad u are playing u get those pens its game over

I am of the fact of a reaction mate. I won't excuse 45 mins of poor ball retention and Gus won't either. Pure fuming I heard.

he put the same on t-bones thread seems hes got a fraudulent username.............. no ones chuckling

Meh. Many know am f***ing certainly not a mag!

embarassing yersell there lad hes no more mag than you are

the system is there to serve the manager and his desire not to lose........... not to win but not to lose[/QUOTe his system is spot on, we cant play expansive football at the min because we get battered, people really need to watch games and realise that, hes playing the best system we can with the squad we have got. We wud have lost a lot more games than we hav if we played the all out attack people on this board reckon we shud

Why will Poyet not change it? Regardless of opposition of situation?

It's a strange one for me. Hull were lacking everything today. We have them the opportunity for a foothold in the came. Slow, predicable and boring.

Don't want to sound a twat, but Hull looked really fresh and kept the ball well today & I think credit has to be given to that.

We don't press as a team, as soon as the opposition get the ball we drop off to the edge of our own box. Understandable and maybe sensible against the likes of chelsea. I can even accept it away from home. Doing it against hull at home is dreadful and raises real questions about the rest of the season.
My father has been saying the same thing.. Same tactics every game

we played 442 against stoke and won 3-1 I don't bye the players are not good enough thing.play 4231 would be more attacking than the lets sit back and hope for a draw 4141 line up.after today gus has to change it .

I thought signing Bridcutt was gonna lead to 4231 with him and Cattermole sitting back and three attacking lads helping out Fletcher or Wickham. Im still hoping.

I thought we'd adopt that formation when I heard Poyet talking about Alvarez when we signed him.

I think we have the players for that formation

He has suggested that the players aren't good enough to play the system he wants to play.

Well bloody change the system then Gus.

This for me like. He speaks of Wickham filling the Borini role quite a bit. It would be easier to play with 2 genuine wide men and play Wickham in a wickham role upfront.

Isn't home to hull a game we have a go at?

Seriously, it's the worst second half of football I have seen us concede. Fuck me, my development squad would have battered them. Never showed a sniff of ball retention.

this is the greatest concern. poyet came here to instill ball playing and possession football. last year we showed signs of playing it well, this year after a pre season, more time to adapt and a transfer window.... we are worse than last year and can barely string two passes together and have worse possession that almost every opponent...

aye, and especially now bridcutt has started playing well, would give johnson/alvarez/giaccherini to get the ball muchhigher up the pitch and do something with the likes of fletcher or wickham actually nearby.. here's hoping

The system works well, incredibly well if you have good movment up top and playing in a attacking mind set, if short realises we need clever and simply better strikers we'd be all good IMO

The sign of a good manager is throwing out his system at the first sign of pressure....

didn't he change it last season and people moaned like little bitches also he changed it when getting beat of west brom to get a point. He also played 2 up top against stoke why should he change the system all the time I seen no complaints last sunday.

His system is better suited to playing away from home. It is not designed nor do we have the players to overwhelm teams at home, especially lower placed teams who arent going to come at us but sit back themselves.

It is going to be a dour second half with most of those teams to arrive.

having said that I can see it working against Villa at the weekend

Hull have targeted Catts the last few times we've played them now. I don't think its no coincidence that him and Larson were quiet today and we didn't perform. Starting Bridcutt today might of been worth a try.

That was the right choice, play Bridcutt, after taking into consideration who the f***ing abortion of a ref was
