The system.

Why will Poyet not change it? Regardless of opposition of situation?

It's a strange one for me. Hull were lacking everything today. We have them the opportunity for a foothold in the came. Slow, predicable and boring.
changed it for the worse second half, first time we could have gone like for like with a bit of flair and he messed it up.

He hasn't got confidence in the players to either play 442 or to get them to press further up the pitch - which is a real concern for our forthcoming relegation battle

Isn't home to hull a game we have a go at?

Seriously, it's the worst second half of football I have seen us concede. Fuck me, my development squad would have battered them. Never showed a sniff of ball retention.

Which happened when he changed the system.

Leave the system, keep the better players and replace the lesser ones as at 2 a time each summer. Its not greatly interesting and does bring the occasional shit performance although that's to be expected when you ply your trade in the bottom half.

We cant play 442 because our midfield isn't powerful or strong enough to cope, doesn't matter what system we play poyet gets critised anyway, it was the same formation as mags game and we won that, everytime we get beat people are out in force to slag the team off. We are a average premier team who are going to win games and lose our fair share people as we always have, people need to wake up and realise that

    He didn't change the system.

we played 442 against stoke and won 3-1 I don't bye the players are not good enough thing.play 4231 would be more attacking than the lets sit back and hope for a draw 4141 line up.after today gus has to change it .

Which is what happens when your fastest defender is like a carthorse. After the subs I don't think anyone had any idea of what they were supposed to do. Very worrying.
They've played long enough together to be able to work as a team.. they shouldn't need the boss to be constantly shouting at them. Work rate... which was NON EXISTENT today should be a given.. pressing as a team.. being able to pass to one another..

You know what made me laugh today .. I was watching them practice their shouting before the match... They must have had 20 shots at Mannone and scored 2.

There is a massive net behind the goal and STILL hit it into the crowd..

Piss poor.

Am happy to be enlightened Mate. The system was not changed significantly at all.

There were 2 plays in a central striking position with Johnson not far behind. The midfield were pushing forward and leaving large gaps between them and the defence. As opposed to our normal 10 men behind the ball.

For better or worse, he changed the system. You said yourself we were unable to keep the ball, this was partly the reason why.
