I don't have loads. Like what I said in PMs I fired off before the story broke. I was told Quinn was getting a group together (but playing no other role) , two big hitters plus another five who would play a lesser part. Although the media have only mentioned two people buying in tbf.
Any ideas who the 2 big hitters are mate?

Doesn't matter. The rumour's out there. Speculation is rife.
Just keep drip feeding info but distance the club from it until after the renewal deadline.
Then the rumours suddenly stop.

See this time last year / German consortium
There were take over talks though so it wasn't made up rubbish to get people to buy tickets

You really think Quinny dosent read the news or go on the internet? If there was nowt in it he d of said something by now.. He knows what this club is all about and what this would mean to supporters.. Theres a reason IMO hes said nowt..

Time will tell, hopefully he comes to our rescue again

Why would they distance themselves if they wanted to boost season ticket sales when it would have the opposite effect? Surely they'd say nowt.

It doesn't make sense

None of it makes much sense. I could understand if Quinn was involved with investors but they hadn't yet contacted the club but then the initial BBC comment was pretty detailed in terms of when Short expected money etc, it's not as if they've simply misreported. As you say though, if there is a grain of truth in it there's no reason why the club would deny, confirming would possibly boost season ticket sales or might even prompt other bidders, increasing Short's chance of getting rid of us. All that makes sense is that there really is nothing in it, but in that case I'm surprised Quinn hasn't commented, and it's odd that the BBC got it so wrong

Have the BBC explained where they got their "news" from earlier today then? Where they gave details of a 2 year earn out period / deferred consideration, and the split of football and off field activities etc? Were the BBC told this by someone who wasn't authorised to tell them. Did Quinn blab when he wasn't supposed to or did the BBC simply invent the entire story, which doesn't really sound like their MO?
