He lost a bet and had to wear a mag top. Imagine thinking he's a mag

I doubt it - he's wearing that brown ale top all the mags revere.
It's not like he's wearing the latest top someone popped off to buy at Sports Direct just to honour a bet.

I don't want a Mag owner - you couldn't make this up.

But he is investing in the club!

Just looked this O’Brien fella up and he’s not exactly loaded (in football terms anyway). His company employs 75 people.....

Means nothing if it's not a labour intensive business. LinkedIn says he runs two businesses - William O'Brien Group and William O'Brien Public Storage. I believe both are unlimited companies, which makes hard information pretty much impossible to come by.

Correct. And Short wasn’t interested or hands on enough to stop things spiralling. He turned up for the good days but was rarely seen in the bad. That’s the sign of a poor owner. I still maintain some sympathy for him. But for an experienced businessman he didn’t half balls this up. I think his intentions were always good but as said, he didn’t appoint good people to run the club.
From the man that demanded Keane move to the North East? Hmmmm
