The stewarding and arrangents for away supporters at Stoke

Unless you have met @Reiver I think you mean libel. Such a basic ignorance of legal terms speaks volumes.

He pretends he has legal experience on every thread.

I only posted this to keep a promise to a woman at the game who had a genuine complaint and couldn't get a steward to fetch a supervisor.

I could've easily broken my promise but, after seeing what other people including Stokie have said, I'm glad I posted.

If anyone can give any info to the FSF, which after all represents us, then follow the link.

I've already moved on to Chelsea ;)

That should be directed specifically rather than generaly.

I always stick to the topic except when the usual tedious bellends arrive to disrupt the thread.

They follow me around and I usually get the blame .... but they know that and prey on it.

Where you a Johnson defender?

No. The main argument with Rivs and people over AJ was about whether Byrne should have given a better statement. I said that her initial statement was insufficient and the club had totally fucked up over him. Some others were saying she had said enough and that what was happening was a media witch hunt. My position was that it wasn't a media witch hunt but the club had totally fucked up. Regarding AJ himself I persistently said that what he had done was wrong, I got quite pissed off by people insulting the victim, I said that he abused his position at the club and should be suspended on pay as soon as the allegations came to light, and although I thought (and still do) that 6 years was at the harsh end, I was always one of the posters who was most critical of both AJ for his actions and also Byrne for handling the situation poorly. So no, I was not a 'johnson defender'.

Quit the victim mentality.

Ok - you seem a bit forceful in that statement. Maybe you shouldnt have posted a load of irrelevant bollocks on a thread when there is another thread where you could post badly thought out shite that is at least relevant to the thread.

What bit of 'please say on topic' do you lot not understand?

I might as well log off and talk to my family as they also take fuck all notice of me.
Haway man I hardly used any ground bait with this imbecile - stop spoiling the fun. Did you see what I did there BTW?

Haway 'likes' this ........ but continues to ignore it and post off topic.

As do you by posting that...

And as do I by then posting this... etc etc.

Since I'm the one derailing this thread atm I will gracefully bow out of it for the evening. Talk soon xxx

You've said that the fans take a share of the blame, and stated it as a fact, in fairness.

I have never ever blamed the victims.

Prove I have and I'll promise, here and now, that I'll never post on here ever again.

There's your challenge as with Haway who avoided the question ........... come on, prove your accusations and I'm gone for good.

If you can't I'm sure you'll be back with some backtracking squirming shite as usual.

Also for the journey from the Terrace Bar to the ground three busses which was fine. Return journey back to the station only the original three busses with a lot more wanting to use them. When will they learn and put an extra bus on for the return journey as we were packed on like sardines.

The policeman on our bus told us we had to wait to the 31 supporters busses had been let out despite the fact we all had trains to catch.

The bus compound at the ground was also very full this year. Now at a rough count 31 busses out of a sell out allocation is around 1600 travelling by bus. What would happen and where would they parked them if a sell out allocation took say 2000 or so as the compound looked full to me.
They were selling tickets for a return. But turned the ones who already paid away

Ah you see you have missed the memo. Apparently if you question the behaviour of any liverpool fans or indeed any football fans then you are dancing on the graves of the Hillsborough dead. And as for you holding up your hands to being part of the problem - you are clearly laughing in the face of the victims and may as well have been holding that gate shut and killing that 10 year old child.

There was a large sign on the wall saying that they shut the bar at half time. Looked like a permanent sign and nothing to do with our fans?

The concourses were far too small. It was the first time I'd been to the new Stoke ground and it looked pretty much like all of the meccano set ones eg Derby, Middlesbrough etc.
I went to watch Stoke v Swansea a few weeks back and it was the same. No booze at half time

Why have you just reposted what you sent to haway? Do you want me to quote the post where you said exactly what I said in my last post?

Please, please, please get this reported to the FSF. Malcolm Clarke is high up at the FSF and is a huge Stoke fan with close links to our supporter council. It will get some serious coverage and air time.

I'm sad and glad that you had to go through this. Sad for obvious reasons but glad because our Supporters Council has been trying to get the club to expand the concourses for quite some time, with a negative response from the club. Something needs to be done and the more complaints they get, the better it will be for both home and away fans. We've asked the club about extending the capacity slightly by reducing the width of the segregation but the concourse size was used as an excuse.

Our ground was built to a tight budget back in 97 under the old version of our current owners and it really shows. There were corners cut all over the place and it needs a serious upgrade. It's only just about fit for purpose. We deserve better than that. I could bore you all night with the nitty gritty of the problems from everthing down to the parking and access but I'll spare you the details.

As for the stewards, if they are like the ones i have to deal with then yes, they are over zealous and heavy handed but rest assured they aren't local! Most of the one's I deal with are from bloody Manchester! Complete twats they are.

Sorry you had to go through that. Cheers.
I've got a video of how crowded it was. I was trying to buy a beer and there must have been pushing 1000 people crammed in that tiny room

Send it to the link mate, if that was the last day of the season it could've been much worse.

It's not acceptable when there are women and kids in the crowd tbh.

That wouldn't have been the case in the 80's imo.

I had no problem with the stewards who did a pretty standard search politely, but both inside and out I thought the stand itself bordered on the unsafe. Poorly designed, not big enough concourse and toilet space for the number of fans in the stand.
