The stewarding and arrangents for away supporters at Stoke

I won't because they'll see it anyway. But that comment really shocked me, and like you I'm not easily offended. But that really pissed me off. I like to think we're better than that.

The imbecile follows me around the board like a snot you can't wipe off your sleeve

I think a big part of the problem is when the ground was built in 1997 the South Stand was solely for away fans.

But since their promotion to the PL the South Stand is divided between the two sets of fans and therein lies the problem.

Maybe our resident Stokie posted could give us his views.

Go away you horrible little lonely creep.

I'll clarify my comments about Hillsborough, in good time, on the appropriate thread.

On;y the sickest lowlife would attempt to use the 96 dead in a points scoring game on the internet ......... shame on you

No. Only the sickest lowlife would try and blame the victims for the disaster.

You don't see the irony in refusing to budge on blaming the fans for it, while posting a thread that explicitly points out how poor ground design and shite policing/ stewarding can cause overcrowding issues?

I'll echo the sentiments, i said to my mate in the ground that the concourse was too packed to move, toilets were f***ing tiny too.

We got told before the game that the bar was shut at HT because 'some sunderland fans were being nasty', maybe so but being pushed around the concourse and stood in a bottlenecked queue to get a drink while other bars were empty might have been an indicator they might get a bit pissed off, took me 10 minutes to get out the bogs after having a piss pre match.
Couple of stewards afterwards with a bit lip on because we were stood waiting for our mate who was in the bogs and they started ushering us out.

That said there was a lad with our fans getting a bit shirty with a copper afterwards about not getting on the buses and the copper started back, he walked away on his radio and came back and said they would drop off anyone that couldnt get on the buses at the station in their vans which to be fair he didnt have to do.
Coppers were spot on and surprisingly good humoured on the whole yesterday.

I was spoken to by a lady at Stoke, who like many others, felt a little aggrieved at the treatment yesterday.

She doesn't post on here but, when I mentioned it, asked if I would post something
Comedy gold on here on a rainy Sunday. Is it always like this?

How does that conversation go then?

"Excuse me mister. Awful here isn't it"

"Terrible my dear. Do you have the internet?"

"No. But would you find a Sunderland forum and put something on it about this shambles for me"

I've never ever done that.

As I described it and not as you imagined ....... there's some thick weirdos on here and you're the proof.

She was speaking to various people, not just me ......... now stop disrupting the thread or make a contribution.

I've never ever done that.

Your posting history would say otherwise, but whatever, at some point in the vague and distant future you will 'clarify' your victim blaming position on things, and until then everyone should refuse to point out that posts like your OP go to show how ludicrous it is to continue blaming Liverpool fans.

I go everywhere following the lads and our support is fantastic but I'm at a loss why they'd say something like that. Reiver's explanation is one thing, but just why mention it on here? The poster may (or may not) have attended the game. Just seems a strange thing to say when elderly, disabled, and those with young kids were inconvenienced. His pet lip with another poster cuts little ice with me. My immediate family and friends being split up is my concern.

The police were great tbh and seemed embarrassed by the stewards where we were.

I was surprised at the amount of police outside the away end after the game though, do you think they sometimes have Stoke acting up?

If you think me, sarcastically, saying that it must be 'sunderland hooligans' [not actually meaning it, repeating back Reiver's words] who caused inconvenience to the elderly, disabled and those with young kids, then it should put into perspective the implications of him saying it seriously about 96 people who were not just inconvenienced - they died.

Better than what?
You know what. You have a difference of opinion, that's what makes the board what it is, you are both entitled to that, right wrong or otherwise, but to post what you just did is bad taste and bad timing and you know it. It doesn't matter to me who is right and who is wrong, but you are way out of line.

Right. So the rules of the board are that people are allowed to persistently blame Liverpool fans for the deaths of 96 people over a period of years, but people can't point out the hypocrisy in those positions, and how ludicrous they appear when used in reference to contexts outside of Hillsborough?

Am sure your story has a valid point

but embellishing it with a damsel in distress frantically searching for someone/anyone who posts on this forum was a tad over the top.

I've never done that but, there's a specific Hillsborough thread, so please keep to that.

Otherwise you'll make people think you're obsessed and following me all over the board and disrupting every thread I'm on.

The concourse is always rammed even more than usual at an away game that goes down to 0 points/general sale for some reason. People who can't normally get a ticket for an away game make the most of it when they do and drink and behave like they're in Ibiza or summit.

General sale at away games seems to bring a small minority of proper scum out of the woodwork too. There was some right bellends in our end yesterday like making some really embarrassing pro Johnson chants and racist comments.

She wasn't in distress, she was a bit pissed off and hyper, and I've already said I want no further involvment.

People seem to have shared her experiences and I've advised them to contact the link.

I said I'd post something and I'm a man of my word.

My fault now is it? - I never brought up Hillsborough or the 96 - im relating to me recovering from serious illness, a disabled OAP, an OAP and a lass - four of us who travel to all games and rarely have any issues. This day we were all split up and fought our way through a packed concourse to meet at the seats.

I tell you what mate, I'll apologise to you for our stupidity, leaving you to your Reiver-baiting and to hell with everyone else.

The concourse was f***ing rammed like. Very bad lay out and with them passing pints out under and 3 quarter dropped down shutter at the bar, then the being treat like animals feeling was pretty clear.
I wonder how it would go if theatre goers were given the same treatment. Footy supporters are paying through the nose to be treated like shit. I was there back in the day, but that was then and this is now and it needs to stop.

.
There was a large sign on the wall saying that they shut the bar at half time. Looked like a permanent sign and nothing to do with our fans?

The concourses were far too small. It was the first time I'd been to the new Stoke ground and it looked pretty much like all of the meccano set ones eg Derby, Middlesbrough etc.
