If you enjoyed the 'Making a Murderer' documentary series on Netflix recently you'll enjoy this one. It's made by the same people.

The Staircase
'The high-profile murder trial of American novelist Michael Peterson following the death of his wife in 2001.'

Absolutely gripping stuff. Every episode hits you with a bombshell and it has more twists than an Agatha Christie novel. It follows the story from the start, through the trial and evidence, to the eventual conclusion.

I'd post the trailer but it gives too much away so just get the twat watched.

I found it all a bit odd and felt as if a lot of the story wasn't shown or told.

Interesting watch but I wouldnt say it was anywhere near as gripping as Making A Murderer.

The owl theory is pretty compelling tbh, I think the only reason they didn’t go with it is because it would have looked a bit too much like a Hail Mary play.

Am I the only one who thought he wasn’t guilty?? I like the owl theory but can’t see how you would be able to make it sound believable in a court of law!

Great series, I loved making a murderer (both seasons) but think this was better personally.

Honestly baffled by it. He was a bit of a creep, like. Never seen such a gory scene from a 'fall' but then the injuries just weren't consistent with being bludgeoned, either.

It's decent like, well worth a watch. For some reason he reminded me of The Jinx, just because the main suspect was more like Robert Durst in their manner.
