The squad is not weaker!

The squad isn’t stronger, we’re still considerably short and a friendly win against Hull isn’t going to change that opinion.

Honestly don’t know what they’re doing behind the scenes, it couldn’t have gone much slower than it has done.
The data doesn't run well on a Sinclair ZX Spectrum hence the slow progress.

Ha'way the data

Not a chance are we stronger than last season. If we get the injuries we had last season we’d be fucked. And that’s likely to happen when the games come thick and fast
We have better players in each position and decent cover in all positions apart from fullback and maybe a bit short in central defence. On the whole far far better.
We had plenty of depth last season, you must be confused if you can’t see that. Didn’t have the strongest 11 but for us to survive with that quantity of injuries there must have been depth there. We don’t even have any fullbacks at the club. Not sure how you can say we are stronger this season. There is more potential in the first 11, but we only have about 14 players atm and a few kids, and no fullbacks at all. You are getting far too carried away
Sorry, not very clear in my response. We did have depth last season, we were just poor in key areas no matter who we played.

The kids are ready IMO.

I can't think of a player we've let go that I'd want in the side, bar Hume, we lack a bit of depth but we've been crying out for youth to get a chance and now they will.

It's really not as bad as the whingers want to make out. No one knows how the young players we've bought in will do but if we spent £100k on each of them, some of those whinging would be buzzing.

I think it’s weaker but it doesn’t really matter what I think.

We all know we need additions in certain areas. Whether we get them or not is another thing. I think it’s going to be a struggle this season but hopefully I’m wrong. Time will tell.

It'll be looking parchment thin that squad mate once the clocks gan back, few injuries, smattering of suspensions, sodden pitches, tired legs there. then there's the old corona ffs

Tin hat on but. . . .

We look a much better side already this season. The plan was always going to be look for better players who need a fresh start, e.g. Prichard, Evans. I know we haven’t seen Prichard but Evans looked brilliant last night. My man of the match in the 1st half.

However, more importantly, we were always going to promote heavily from the U23’s and look for quality loans/ buys from premier league u23 sides.

These types of players will always come later in the window after they’ve been assessed by their current clubs. This will also always be done later in a summer with a big competition like the euros.

we already look like we are a much quicker and better passing side who can control the middle of the park.

I think the predictions of 10th to 5th are way off the mark even if we start the season with the players we have and we are only a couple of good fullbacks away from being a really class (at this level) side.
😂😂😂

It isn’t up for debate IMO. A lot of our fans don’t know much about football though.

You are the cheerleader for them?
I wonder how many of these squad isn't that bad type threads we would have had had we not scored a late winner last night ;)

TBH I couldnt give a fuck about the leech scoring, the first 11 is better, the squad will be a lot better when we sign the other players that we need

Doyle has come in to replace Sanderson, where is the weakness there?

O'nien can play right back until we get one as can Winchester

We have got rid of a load of shit and brought in the young lads and 3 good additions (more to come) but we are weaker? , are whe fuck, you obviously dress the wrong way
Chiefly, Flanagan playing next to him instead of Sanderson before him.

??? wtf we replace Sanderson with Doyle, then we are weaker even though we had O'nien and Flannigan last year? no idea what you are going on about, anyhow, watching the rugby, if you post any more shit I will get back to you in about an hour

The knock-on effect is Flanagan playing right side of two - where Sanderson might've been had we (properly) bid early.

Doyle just replaced O'Nien on the left side, really.

I’m not overly concerned about Burge. I’m only really concerned about the fullback positions but I’d rather see us make do with a player out of position or a kid in until Christmas rather than buying a plodder to fill a gap.
My prediction stands, if Burge is involved in any close run in or playoff games where the pressure is on he will crumble!Need to get better in now!

You think Wyke will or would have repeated his feats from last season. Stewart is better

Mcfadzeen was playing left back, he is gone, that makes us better

you can dress it up how you want, but if you are playing make shift players at full back positions, no proven goal scorers… it is weaker until they prove otherwise.

As it stands the squad is weaker but where players have already been replaced those positions are stronger.

We need two full backs in before I think the team is stronger and three full backs, a centre half and a striker before the squad is stronger.

We have better players in each position except several key positions where we actually have 0 players whatsoever yet you still claim we’ve got a good squad. Honestly man 😂😂

My conclusion is that

We are weaker as a whole squad but we are much closer to having a promotion winning squad than last season.

That sounds odd but we’ve made space in the squad for real improvement to be made.
