Watched 'Kane'-again a couple months back. Atmospheric start and I liked it all. It's probably lauded for pioneering photography tech tho.

Aye, it was pioneering as fuck. The opening shot where the camera goes through the gates and into his gaff is incredible. It looks like a modern film at times, which is mindblowing considering it's nearly 80 years old - just doesn't grab me as a narrative.
