@SkysportsPeteO:
Celtic are hoping to beat the transfer deadline to sign Stoke defender Abdoulaye Faye.

Good signing if that comes off, he's a decent player.

Eurosport:
Sky report Andy Reid is training with Blackpool ahead of his proposed move from Sunderland. We suggested he was the likely target a couple of weeks ago when we heard the Seasiders wanted a mystery Black Cat on loan. Charlie Adam is there too.

Reid training with Blackpool? Must be done then.

Just a reminder lads of some of the links you can use:

Eurosport (much better than the SSN one)

Skysports

Both update themselves so just leave the browser open and dont refresh as there is no need.

Well elts see if he ticks the boxes.

Black - Tick
Striker - Tick

Aye pretty much the type of striker we are after.

Doesnt seem to be the type of striker who gets stuck in and holds the ball up though. He's very much a player who prefers to run off the last defender and we dont need one of them.

I'm just picturing the phone at Telstar ringing everyday - "It's Wenger and Ferguson for you boss, they what to know how Ibrahim is doing. Shall I say he's still fine?"

I don't think so somehow

Even if we don't bring in a striker, i think this will be another good window for Bruce getting rid of the Keane crap and bringing in quality players. :)

Graeme Bailey: Reports now of Liverpool bidding £30million for Andy Carroll - more to follow...

That surely has to tempt ashley. imagine the meltdown if they sell him

Lee Ryder on possibility of playing youngster once NUFC are safe

But if there is half a sniff of a European place, Pardew will go for it and be encouraged to do so.

We're two points off a possible European spot with a game in hand...that's the facts.

what an absolute tool

More on Carroll:

11:07
Eurosport:
If that is correct, it surely means Torres is on his way out at Anfield.
11:07
Eurosport: Thanks for the tip-off, MisAnnThrope. The BBC's Ian Dennis is indeed reporting Liverpool have tabled a £30million bid for Newcastle striker Andy Carroll.

Amauri   Cheeky fucka!

11:02
Eurosport: Agent Ernesto Bronzetti on Amauri and interest from England: "The truth is that we have said no to two English clubs: West Bromwich and Fulham. These two clubs are not at his level. Why would Amauri and his family go to England for teams like these, in a country where they do not even know the language?" I think that's a 'no' then.

£30m for Carroll would be absolutely superb business on NUFC's side. Can't see it happening though.

Yep. Like I said to my mate yesterday, he might never be worth £30m again. Is it a risk worth taking?

With £30 they could get 4-5 quality players. They need that more than one lump up top.

West ham signing another striker! Dont they have 8 first team strikers already?

11:11
Eurosport: West Ham are set to announce the signing of Dulwich Hamlet's 17-year-old striker Paul McCallum. Another forward for the Hammers?!

30 million for Carroll :eek::lol:

apparently a confirmed bid from 'unknown' source suspected to be liverpool....desperate to replace torres and obviously need someone before they finally let torres go....when desperate you need to throw the cash around.

bid rejected....ahsley holding for a better offer?

Christ, that Amauri quote is a worse put down than the one Kaboul's agent gave us about earthquakes

Surely the mags can’t be that daft to turn down £30 mill??? Ashley will be pie eyed… makes the £18-24 million that we got for Bent look a bit cheap now!
