French horror flick.
Critics loved it, I didn't.
4/10.
I watched this yesterday after it had been on my Sky+ for a while. Have to agree wth you. Didn't even finish it. 4/10

I've watched a fair few others so far this month:

The Two Faces of January [2014] 6/10
Based on a Patricia highsmith novel starring Oscar Isaac, Viggo Mortensen and Kirsten Dunst. Looks gorgeous, but the script wastes the acting talent. Shit ending.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters [2019] 4/10

Effects are good, script is atrocious. Just because you're making a CGI-fest doesn't mean you can't hire good writers. Will still watch Godzilla v Kong next year, though.

Under the Skin [2013] 8/10
Scarlett Johansson is an alien picking blokes up for sex then killing them. Sexy and creepy. Great visuals.

Beast [2017] 7/10
A young woman living with an opressive religious family falls for a bad boy who might be a serial killer. Jessie Buckley acts the shit out of it.

The Guns of Navarone [1961] 3/10
Usually love an old war film. This dragged like fuck, though. Disappointing.

Torn Curtain [1966] 4/10
Hitchcock, Paul Newman and Julie Andrews go behind the Iron Curtain to steal nuclear secrets. A tired film from a great director nearing the end.

Blackhat [2015] 5/10
Michael Mann tries to make a shitter film than Miami Vice. He almost succeeds. Chris Hemsworth is okay. Viola Davis has nothing to do.

Hunter Killer [2018] 2/10
Gerard Butler is a submarine captain trying to stop WW3. If Hunt For Red October was directed by McG. Dogshit.

Alien [1979] 9/10
Watched for the first time in 20 years. Still brilliant. What Ridley Scott could achieve visually with no budget (see Blade Runner, also) is amazing.

Blinded by the Light (2019) 8/10

A good solid 80's nostalgia film based around the music of Springsteen. Excellent soundtrack obviously and a good reminder of what we used to be.

Respectable- The Mary Millington Story
6/10

Channel hopping during nightshift, came across some clips from 70's porn on Together- ended up watching the whole film. Documentary about the 1970's porn star, her love of sex, eventual love of cocaine, and sad end at 34 of an overdose.
4'11" of potent sexual energy, the film is full of clips from her dirty fillums which had me reminiscing of the old VHS days

Don't stop keep going.

Fast and Furious: Calvin and Hobbes

Canny as long as you accept that the whole franchise is just superhero films for car mechanics. All the better for not having Vin Diesel banging on about family and the obligatory half hour about how down with the kids he is before the smashy smashy. I'm not ashamed to admit the McLaren chase through that London gave me a twinge.

7/10

Hobbs and shaw..8/10

2 hours of fun and a few laughs to go along...loved it. And as mentioned couple of unreal car chases....the helicopter scene was brilliantly daft, class fun.

Watched in those 4dx seats in Cineworld at the gate, was ragged to fuckery like.😳😃

The Curse of La Llorona
4/10

As shite as Insidious

Too many horrors these days relying on the same shtick- quiet suspenseful creepy bit, jump scares, loud music. Only Hereditary and Midsommer have floated my boat recently

Book of Henry...7.5/10.

Apart from the fact I could watch Naomi Watts paint a fence, I quite enjoyed this story about a remarkable boy, wise beyond his years (Hollywood licence to stretch said remarkabilty embedded), who has a great effect on those he loves.
