Greyhound

Tom Hanks tries to cross the Atlantic during WW2 with loads of ships

Enjoyed it. Would have been better at the cinema I think. 7.5/10

The Super 7/10

Val Kilmer. A film set in an apartment block where people go missing mysteriously. Its a bit of a horror with a twist and the set pieces are very good especially the first few, very eery and intense. Val Kilmer is the apartment maintenance worker who lives in the basement and practices voodoo. its ok but not worth recommending

captive state 7.9/10

netflix film starring john goodman

Set in a Chicago neighborhood nearly a decade after an occupation by an extraterrestrial force, 'Captive State' explores the lives on both sides of the conflict - the collaborators and dissidents.

Greyhound
6.5/10

Tom Hanks as a us navy commander on his first posting on the greyhound, an armed escort for the merchant boys crossing the Atlantic during WWII. It’s enjoyable, and would have scored higher but I watched it on my phone 😕
Steve Niles’ Remains
6/10

Zombie shtick, some nuclear microwave oven causes a blast which turns the residents of Reno into mutants. Canny good, how you want a zombie fillum to be- no explanations

Watching an old favourite- The Taking of Pelham 123. The original of course with the wonderful Walter Matthau. 'The guy who's talking's got a heavy English accent. Could be a fruitcake.' 😃

Matryrs ( 2008 ) - 8/10

Great film but fuck me, I'd see this as a harrowing yet fiction film but with all the shit whats coming out lately I'm honestly doubting that something like this isnt going on

Alpha (2018) - 7/10

I quite enjoyed this one, mind you did struggle to understand until I put the subtitles on. Apparently they invented the language, interesting idea I suppose considering the setting of the prehistoric period. There are some things in the film that didn’t make sense, like the Bison hunt and the clothing still looked out of place, like they went shopping at Burberry!

Can you ever forgive me. Filum from 2018 that I missed but it's a cracka.
That big bird from Bridesmaids plays a failed writer who turns to forging letters (true story). She meets Richard E Grant and he's superb (weird how he can act pissed so good but he's been teetotal all his life).
8/10.

I have never actually watched the first one.

I have had the film on VHS and DVD, but never got around to actually sit and watch.
Diven bother
Fatal Affair. Was the wife’s choice to watch. 90 minutes of my life I’ll never get back. Very slow and poorly acted. 2/10
Cheers. Close to watching it - but Netflix films demoralise me with their general shitness.
I’ll give a miss.
MILF 5/10
French film on Netflix about some older woman ok a break looking for the cock.
Just about bearable. Ffs
