Unfourtunatly I'm re-doing my Engligh Lit A-level coursework so this is the forth time I have read the thing and world war one never interested me anyway.

Going to give that a go."Blood Whispers" by John Gordon Sinclair - Glasgow/Northern Ireland set book about lawyers and Eastern European mafia types. A rollicking, rollercoaster ride of a thriller... 8/10

Read that on holiday last year. Dated as you say but enjoyed it. Never read a word of Hemingway till a year or so ago but have followed him all over Europe sinceThe Old Man and the Sea- Ernest Hemingway
Average. 6/10. It's dated and written in a different age and style, still a canny story though. Short anarl
Now on with The Stand, the complete and uncut edition (1990). I read the cut original version back in 1991, this is much, much better.

Not a bad read. Likewise with the mediaeval stuff. But if you haven't read owt by Karen maitland read company of liars first. Really good book.Sounds canny, I'm into my medieval stuff at the moment. I'll see if it's on the kindle store, cheers marra!
Revival - Stephen King 8/10 Loved the ending. Didn't see it coming but then I don't really think that far ahead, I just read, which helps on that front.
