Not at all.My original point was that it is one of the all time greats despite flopping at the box office.
You metric for a great is that it has to have done well at the box office which is at odds with your distaste for imdb and their ilk.
Reread what I said earlier.
IMDBs top 15 includes a lot of major box office hits. That should be nowhere near a “best” of list.
“Best” is highly subjective and the only reason the majority of those movies (all made in the last 20 years or so) are on there is because the IMDB crowd clicked vote. It’s not hard to understand why I am dubious of anything like that, surely, when you see The Dark Knight Rises in there.
