Noice. Is that with the 1000m?

Yup. Bit underwhelmed with the quality for daytime use but looks like a useful, portable eclipse/transit chaser.

It came with three chunky 116mm glass filters, I have adapted the skylight and red to solar filters, kept the green 'as is' for lunar imaging.
 
Bit interested in this like, will a welding glass work (no.14) or do I need something stronger? What will it cost?

Don't kill him lads, he's only asking!! haha

Apparently welding glass does not block all frequencies of light equally. Specifically it allows UV (Ultra Violet) light through, which can't be seen but damage eyes and sensors.

Best use a dark crisp packet or a dirty sock. :lol:
 
ah they must be better quality than WEX, just had an email saying they were £65 now down to £50

not that it matters cos I've bought the Amazon ones, but gis a link. The £99 from wex one was velvet so a load better but was abit smaller. Gutted if that is the one on offer.. :mad:
